The Parish Church of St. Bridget, Dyserth

The Parish Church of St. Bridget
The earliest parts of this Church date from the 13th C, but it is believed that there was a wooden Church here as early as 1086. Little is known of the Saints whom this Church was named after, but there are some interesting sights within the Church itself. Including a breathtaking Jesse stained glass window, a floor slab which depicts a knights grave, wooden buttresses in the ceiling dating from 1579, and memorial plaques that line the chancel. This historic building used as the first school in the village also has an impressive churchyard.

Ewloe Swing Park activity header

Ewloe Swing Park, Ewloe

Ewloe Swing Park
The swing park is in really good condition. There are a couple of swings, a couple of climbing frames, a modern seessaw and some animal things with springs that kids can sit on and bounce back and forwards (not sure of the technical name!)

The park is surrounded by a secure fence to keep the kids safe. There are benches to sit on to have a nice sit back and relax as your kids run around. Really nice park in good condition and one major bonus is the park always appears empty.

Greenfield Docks Coastal walk
When the sun is shining the coastal walk from Greenfield Dock is a great day out. Park the car up and decide to head up the coast towards Talacre or down, towards Flint.

The path is flat and actually pretty suitable for bikes, although you will have to lift them over the odd fence.

Really child and dog friendly but watch the cows! The walk can be as long or short as you want.
